To create unique, not-for-profit EDUCATIONAL, MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS and FUNDRAISING programs that support DIRECT INTERVENTIONS to rescue cats and dogs from neglect and abandonment.
STRATEGIES
To support the rescue and adoption movement in four key areas:
Direct Intervention
In areas and towns Northwest of Boston where no rescue organization is currently operating
By organizing feral cat rescue in Acton, Littleton, Westford, expanding to other abutting towns. Programs to include: Expansion of foster home networks; subsidization of spay/neuter; working with regional rescue organizations and with local animal control to coordinate Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) of feral cats and transfer of fostered animals to limited admission shelters.
All cats and dogs assisted by Shelter Me, Inc., must be sterilized; no money will support any organization where the euthanization of any cat or dog occurs due to space or service area policy, or where testing or declawing is done on feral cats.
