This story is a littler bigger than "how we chose our dog." Choosing our Jack Russell Terrier was actually the easy part. Someone we knew said that he needed a home and was a great little dog and we took him. It was all on faith. It was one of the smartest things we ever did.

But in the back of our minds, we kept replaying the advice of Dr. Nicholas Dodman, whom we had interviewed earlier this year. He is one of the great animal behavioralists and his insights helped us do a better job of caring for our dog. So, we have included some of his thoughts in this video. There is also another surprise guest, somebody we think of as a dog whisperer. Her name is Margaret Daley. She is our all-time favorite dog walker.
